COLLEGE

Stengel is regarded as the most accomplished player in Wake Forest history, earning three NSCAA All-America honors, including First Team recognition in 2011. A four-time All-ACC selection and the 2011 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, she set school records with 50 goals and 125 points in just 75 matches. She led the ACC in scoring in 2010 and 2011, becoming the first player to do so as both a freshman and sophomore since Mia Hamm. A two-time MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, Stengel also helped the U.S. win the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and was the first Demon Deacon called up to the U.S. Women’s National Team.

INTERNATIONAL

Stengel helped the United States win the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship and went on to score three goals in four appearances at the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where the U.S. claimed the title. She later represented the U.S. at the U-23 level and received her first senior national team call-up in March 2014 under head coach Tom Sermanni, though she has not yet earned a cap.
