2024 (Gotham FC): Joined Gotham FC in July from Chelsea FC, starting all 10 regular-season matches she appeared in and logging 853 minutes of play. Carter won 62.5% of her duels and 66.7% of her aerial duels, adding 20 interceptions and 21 clearances. 2023-24 (Chelsea FC): Carter featured in 21 matches, starting 19 and accumulating 1,723 minutes. She recorded one assist, 12 interceptions and a team-leading 61 clearances, helping Chelsea secure a fifth consecutive WSL title. 2022-23 (Chelsea FC): Carter made 17 appearances for Chelsea, scoring two goals and registering one assist. She also recorded 23 interceptions and 34 clearances, contributing to another WSL title for Chelsea. 2021-22 (Chelsea FC): In 21 league appearances, Carter recorded one assist and logged 1,685 minutes of play. She also tallied 34 interceptions and 48 clearances, helping Chelsea win another league title. 2020-21 (Chelsea FC): Carter made nine appearances for Chelsea, including three starts, and recorded one assist. She helped the team achieve a domestic treble that season (WSL, FA Cup and League Cup). 2019-20 (Chelsea FC): Carter scored her first goal for Chelsea in a 6-1 victory over Bristol City. She also recorded one assist, six interceptions and 10 clearances in 324 minutes. 2018-19 (Chelsea FC): In her first season with Chelsea, Carter made 13 appearances and eight starts, contributing one assist, seven interceptions and 12 clearances. 2013-18 (Birmingham City): Carter began her professional career with Birmingham City, making her debut at age 16 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Quarterfinal.
INTERNATIONAL
Carter received her first senior call-up to the England Women’s National Team in 2017 during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying stages. She made her debut in a 5-0 win over Kazakhstan, coming off the bench. Carter was part of the England squad that won the inaugural Arnold Clark Cup and the UEFA Euro Championship in 2022, and she started in five of six matches at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, helping England reach the final.
