Born in Queens, N.Y., Betos played high school soccer at St. Francis Prep before attending the University of Georgia and graduating with a degree in psychology. Betos played professionally from 2010-24, predominantly in the NWSL, including stints in Australia, Norway, Denmark and Cyprus. She won an NWSL Shield with the Portland Thorns in 2016 and the NWSL championship with Gotham FC in 2023. After retiring in 2024, Betos is finishing her courses to become a Certified Mental Performance Coach and working with Gotham FC as Assistant Goalkeeper Coach. She will play a role in culture development and maintenance. Her greatest joy is growth and improvement, and she is ecstatic about the opportunity to help the players in their individual and collective journeys.
