Gotham FC to Host Fan Appreciation Night presented by CarMax on October 20
HARRISON, NJ (Friday, October 18, 2024) – NJ/NY Gotham FC announced today that the club will host Fan Appreciation Night presented by CarMax on Sunday, October 20 for the Gotham FC vs. Orlando Pride match at Red Bull Arena. As Gotham FC’s Jersey-Front and Marquee Sponsor, CarMax, the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, has teamed up with the club to make the final home match of the 2024 regular season a night dedicated to the fans.
The CarMax Customization Station will return to the Gotham FC Fan Fest before the match, where fans can create customized Gotham FC merchandise. Once again, the CarMax Kids Program will make 100 seats available to children from underserved communities and their families/chaperones, giving them the opportunity to attend the game for free. The CarMax Kids Program will distribute roughly 900 tickets throughout the season. This program is facilitated through various area non-profits.
The match will also honor two-time World Cup champion, Olympic gold medalist, and two-time NWSL champion Kelley O’Hara. O’Hara will be recognized with pre-game and post-game tributes, and notably, will serve as the honorary torch lighter in a ceremony before kickoff. Past torch lighters include Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff, Billie Jean King, Eli Manning, Misty Copeland, and Carli Lloyd.
The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a commemorative Kelley O'Hara trucker hat, and all fans will have the opportunity to leave farewell messages for O'Hara on her autograph wall at Fan Fest.
For Fan Appreciation Night, CarMax will continue its efforts to make women’s sports games more accessible with the CarMax Parking Program. To help reduce gameday costs, 400 free parking passes will be offered to fans for the match through Gotham FC’s email list on a first come-first served basis. Throughout the 2024 season, CarMax will distribute a total of 1,800 free parking passes. Keeping in the theme of showing our appreciation for the fans, CarMax will also be offering the chance to win concession vouchers to fans who participate in trivia at Fan Fest.

Fans seated in sections 133 and 102 will also receive a commemorative Gotham FC NWSL Champions rally towel.
