Gotham FC adds Goalkeeper Meagan McClelland

HARRISON, NJ (Friday, November 11, 2023) – NJ/NY Gotham FC today announced the signing of goalkeeper MeaganMcClelland.McClelland joined the club as a goalkeeper replacement player in September and has stayed on with Gotham FC through the end of the season.

“We have tremendous depth at the goalkeeper position,” said General Manager Yael Averbuch West. “Adding Meagan to the roster has continued to maintain a high standard among a group of talented players.”

The native of Kearny, New Jersey, returns home and within close proximity of Gotham FC’s home stadium at Red Bull Arena in Harrison.

McClelland previously signed as an NTRP for the San Diego Wave in July 2023 and for the Chicago Red Stars in in 2022. Prior to embarking on a professional career, she played collegiately at Rutgers, appearing in 102 matches with 101 starts, and recording 43 shutouts in her five seasons.
