HARRISON, NJ (Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2023) – In just his first season with the club, Gotham FC Head Coach Juan Carlos Amorós is a finalist for the 2023 NWSL Coach of the Year award.

The collaborative leader had his work cut out for him when he arrived on the scene for Gotham FC. However, it was a familiar route after Amorós led the Houston Dash to a playoff appearance as interim head coach in 2022. Joining Gotham FC in November 2022, this time as a full-time head coach, Amorós introduced a fast high press and free-flowing play, which turned the club into a playoff contender and led the team to a historic run.
