Six Gotham FC Players Called Up to U.S. Women’s National Team January Training Camp

HARRISON, NJ (Tuesday, January 7, 2025) - Gotham FC players Tierna Davidson, Crystal Dunn, Jenna Nighswonger, Emily Sonnett, Nealy Martin, and Ella Stevens have been named to the 26-player U.S. Women’s National Team January Training Camp roster.

This marks the first senior national team call-ups for both Martin and Stevens. In total, they are the third and fourth players in the past two years to earn their first senior national team call-ups while playing for Gotham FC, following Nighswonger and Yazmeen Ryan.

This is the first time that Martin has been called up to represent the United States at any level. This is also the first time Stevens has been called up to the senior national team, having represented the U.S. prior at the U-17, U-19, U-20 and U-23 levels. She was on the team that won the 2015 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship and scored in that tournament against Haiti.

Dunn is the most capped player on the roster with 155 appearances for the USA. Sonnett sits just behind Dunn with 103 caps, while Davidson has the fourth-most caps on the roster, with 65.

Nighswonger is one of two players selected from the NWSL’s 2024 Best XI First Team.

The U.S. Women’s National Team will be preparing for upcoming international competitions as part of the January Training Camp, which will be held from January 14 to January 21 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
