Mayor Mamdani, Gotham FC Announce $12 Tickets for NWSL Quarterfinal

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (Nov. 4, 2026) – Gotham FC and New York City Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani announced on Wednesday a limited offer of 3,000 $12 tickets for the team’s upcoming quarterfinal match against Seattle Reign FC this weekend at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Top-seeded Gotham FC will take on the Seattle Reign FC at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the opening round of the 2026 National Women’s Soccer League Playoffs, presented by Google Pixel, in pursuit of a second consecutive NWSL Championship and third title in four years. Gotham FC clinched its first NWSL Shield, given to the league’s regular season champion, this past Sunday.

The discounted tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. New Yorkers can visit GothamFC.com/twelve to claim their tickets.

The $12 ticket drop gives New Yorkers the chance to show up for Gotham FC as its “12th player,” bringing thousands of fans into the stands for one of the biggest matches of the season. The announcement builds on Mayor Mamdani’s continued commitment to making major sporting and cultural events more accessible and affordable for New Yorkers. Earlier this year, the administration offered discounted tickets to New Yorkers for The Queens Classic, which broke the attendance record for a women’s sporting event in New York City with 42,175 present for Gotham FC’s win over the Washington Spirit at Citi Field.

The Mamdani administration has also made free and discounted tickets available for FIFA World Cup matches, the US Open, the TCS New York City Marathon Grandstands, Broadway performances, the Met Opera and more.

“This Sunday, Seattle’s reign will come to an end as Gotham FC storms the field for their quarterfinal match, and we’re giving thousands of New Yorkers the chance to cheer them on with discounted tickets,” said Mayor Mamdani. “From the World Cup to the US Open, we’re unlocking the doors of major sporting events for all New Yorkers to enjoy and reaffirming, once again, that sports belong to the people – not just those who can afford the price of admission.”

“We’re grateful to Mayor Mamdani and his administration for helping more New Yorkers experience Gotham FC playoff soccer,” said Mark Zarthar, the president of business operations for Gotham FC. “Our fans have been a driving force behind this club’s success, and as we pursue another championship, we want more people to be part of that journey. Through this initiative, we’re making it easier for families and fans across the city to join us and be part of an unforgettable playoff atmosphere.”

Gotham FC earned home-field advantage for the quarterfinals and semifinals by clinching the top seed in the NWSL Playoffs. The team enters the postseason following a historic regular season, setting club records for points, wins and shutouts.

Today’s ticket announcement builds on a historic year for soccer in New York City. Earlier this summer, Gotham FC and New York City FC announced that Gotham will make Etihad Park in Queens its permanent home beginning in 2028. The move will bring one of the world’s premier women’s soccer clubs to New York City’s first soccer-specific stadium and establish a permanent home for professional women’s soccer in the five boroughs.
