HARRISON, NJ (Wednesday, January 8, 2025) - Gotham FC announced today that the club has signed forward Khyah Harper to a contract through the 2025 season.

Harper made 68 appearances for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, scoring 20 goals and registering 14 assists in 4,226 minutes of play. During a standout 2024 season, Harper scored 17 goals, including back-to-back hat tricks, making her the first player in program history to achieve such a feat since 1998. She capped off her senior year by being named the Big Ten Forward of the Year and earned All-Big Ten First Team honors. Additionally, she was named a semifinalist for the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy.
“Khyah is a bright young talent who had a dominant senior season,” said Gotham FC General Manager and Head of Soccer Operations Yael Averbuch West. “We are excited to welcome her to Gotham FC.”
Born in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, Harper scored 134 goals and tallied 71 assists in her high school career. Her efforts earned her the 2020-2021 Gatorade Player of the Year award, recognizing the top high school athletes in the country. She was also named the Star Tribune 2020 Metro Player of the Year after registering 26 goals and 10 assists in her senior season.
